BARCADE-exactly what it sounds like

It's James's birthday week again, and you know what that means...

This week only:
GOOD TIMES

Monday: 4 mile run (the fun quotient of this activity was hotly debated).

Tuesday: Barcade. Williamsburg, apart from being home of more hipsters than one would care to picture, produced this genius idea. It's an arcade that serves beer. Obviously, I'm a bit more interested in the arcade bit, but, any one who can amass this all-star line up of arcade games is a-ok with me. I dropped a good $6 or $7 in pursing my New Year's resolution-to get really good at Ms. PacMan-and James tore it up on Qbert. I wiped the floor with him in 2 person Tetris, and he schooled us all in Dig-Dug. Aaron and Tyson came, and a good time was had by all.

Wednesday: 5 Guys and Barnes and Noble. The first for hamburgers (obviously), and the second to finish off a B&N gift card. I got What I Talk About When I Talk About Running, by Murakami, and James got The Tipping Point.

Thursday: I leave for North Carolina and give James the gift of a weekend to himself (which is both true and a handy justification for taking off on his birthday). James attends a poetry party.

Friday: Dram Shoppe for hamburgers and video games (ugh).

Saturday:

Sunday:

(I don't actually know what James is doing these two days, so I can only assume he'll spend the time in quiet reflection, perhaps reading some spiritual texts and listening to uplifting music)

  1. I heard the Tipping Point was good, but tell James if he wants to read more Gladwell to leave Blink alone. It's a waste of time. Outliers was pretty good though.

  2. Also, I wish they had a barcade in rexburg. Only with juice.
