No Secret

It's no secret that, around here, the love for Ferris Bueller runs pretty deep.

Every now and then you run across something that makes you so happy, that you love so much, you can't help feeling an almost ownership for, as though you had something to with it.

This is one of those things.

It's a Ferris Bueller trailer re-cut to answer the question of how this iconic movie would do now, in the age of sensitive, indie, coming of age films.

I guess you have to decide what the answer is.

p.s. my answer is that it would do gangbusters.

  1. I nearly cried over this. I'm going to Chicago in July and I plan to just ask "What would Ferris do?" and go from there.

  2. You know those vague childhood memories, the ones where a small portion you remember clearly but the rest is a fog? Well, I have a memory of sitting in the movie theater with my parents, well....they were sitting. I was standing. I was little. Give me a break. Anyway, the movie was ending, I was bored, and the people on the big screen were in a parade. Standing in a car in a big, crowded parade. The rest is a fog. But I remember that part clear as day.

  3. I think I just fell in love with Ferris all over again. I would love to watch the movie in the eyes of 29 year old Camille who has never seen it before and see what my reaction would be. Classic. Thanks for sharing.
