Was it a Sunday?

This is just outside my building. If you've been here for a visit, you'll recognize the fence and the fire house.

This photo belongs to my next door neighbor, landlord, and pal, Jerry. I'm trying to convince him to let me scan all his photos and save them to a disc to give to his family, but, I've yet to convince him of the possible benefits.

I'd put this photo at about, er, sixty years ago. Maybe more? Based on the clothes, maybe this is the 40s, which would make this photo almost 70 years old. Amazing. I walk on those very streets. Lean against that very fence. Hold that very baby (there's a creepy thought).

I'd opine more on history, but I burned two fingers making (and failing to make) caramel, so, instead, I'm going to lay on the couch and think about how much they hurt. Actually, I'm late already.

  1. This is beautiful. my favorite character is the woman peering over the mother's hat, from the steps above. She's the elusive never aging shape-shifter that leaps dimensions. I think she just ate someone.
