Terrible, Horrible Edie

You probably think she looks pretty cute in this photo, and that maybe she could never really be terrible and horrible, but you'd be wrong.  Dead wrong.  Don't you see?  That's what she wants you think.  You're playing right into her hands, and you don't even know it.

Trust me, she's got her dark side.  You see it, oh, around 2 am.  Then again around 2:23 am.  And then again at 3:15 am.  And so on.  And it's 4:03 am and you're thinking, okay, we'll just never travel again, and you've got one week to regulate this sleeping, sister, and things are going to get real.

But then it's suddenly 10 am and we're laying on my bed reading Peter Rabbit and she's laughing and making this charming cooing noise, and suddenly, I'm right there with you.  Right back in the palm of her pudgy little hand.

  1. Horrible Edie looks terribly cute!

I totally sympathise with you though. I'm pretty sure all mothers have been there. I'm even more sure that's why Mother Nature makes babies so cute.

  2. oh man, bring those chubby hands over to my place. I need to 'chaw' on them a little. seriously though, its been too long, your little escape to cali was too long for me. lets get together soon, like now. PS ditto on the sleep, though Gus starts at 4:00 so that it lasts until Andy's alarm goes off. spledid indeed.

  3. Fern, she's cute alright, but you know how it is. And I agree. I mean, babies have to be cute. Otherwise, we'd just call them monsters.

    Shiloh, say the word, gurl.
