Young People's Floor

Baby dress.

Baby nightgown.

Baby overalls.  I think these are for a boy, but Edie could sport these, no problem.

Baby giraffe.

Baby dresses.  There's no way Edie will fit into these.

Baby Peter Pan collars.  Be still my heart.

Baby bed jacket.  For days when it's just not worth putting pants on.

Little girl bathrobe.

These are all pre-washing.  I took the photos now because who knows which of these won't make it through.  As luck would have it, I now know a gal who is a textile preservationist who maybe used to work for the Met's Costume Institute.  No big deal.  She's going to talk me through the process.

The little dresses that won't fit Edie, who knows what I'm going to do with them.  But they're so lovely, and the women whose daughters wore them kept them, for all these years, and I wanted to give them a new home.  The rest of the pieces I intend for Edie to wear, for as long as she can, as often as she can.

Oh, and, I'm not one to kiss and tell, but I got these little numbers for $0.50.  Two for a dollar.  Which, I'm no bargain hunter, but it seems like a pretty good deal.

  1. You are the epitome of cool mom. I love these. Edie will have to thank you someday for dressing her, not only economically, but so sportingly sweet as well.
