James Loves Music, So You Can Love It Too

A million.  That's how many CDs I currently have sitting on my desk.  I need to get rid of a few, but, they were lovingly made by James.  I'd sooner throw away a handmade quilt.

I will send 3 randomly selected* comment-ers a few cds each.  They are mostly mixed cds, so you'll get a mish-mash of songs, and though it's mostly pretty cool indie rock, please don't send them back if you end up with James at his most electronica weird.  Who knows where that comes from.

Leave a comment and then just sit back and dance a little in your seat.

*i'll decide tomorrow, so get excited.

  1. Commenting. No address on blog. If you choose me I will pm you the address. Or you can probably get it from Grandma Irvine.

  2. I've always secretly wanted James to make me a cd. It is time I listened to something else in the car other than NPR so that my kids might get some resemblance of balance. Music from a dear friend would make it all the more meaningful.

  3. This is thrilling. I don't have nearly the time that I used to for finding music and now I just rely on people to say, "LISTEN TO THIS!" Sign me up!

  4. Nice! I want some! I love people's mixed CDs. Also, yay--CDs! I feel like no one uses them anymore and as a technology straggler, I am bummed.

  7. I'm posting for my two oldest whose musical tastes have already been heavily influenced by James' recommendations and one Ben Folds mix that we've been carrying around for 12 years. We're excited. Backflip excited.

  9. You don't have to include me in your random selection box because I don't want to take this opportunity from someone else—I just wanted to say that, as a fellow participant of an old mixtape-swapping group with James, I am forever indebted to the bands he introduced me to. A master CD-filling maestro, he is.
