The Science of Playground Snacks

Annie (formerly of Annie Reviews Movies) and Ben came to Brooklyn today, so, obviously, we went to Prospect Park and ate an entire Brooklyn blackout cake.  Ah, the spring.

After we ate all the cake in the world, we left Ben to take a nap and Annie and I followed Edie to the playground.  Edie pretended that part of the climbing structure was her ice cream stand, where she didn't so much serve ice cream to customers as threw it up in the air and expected her crowd to catch it in their mouths.  She yelled at a couple of other kids who climbed up to her ice cream store, but left alone the kid whose mother had sent him to the park with a quarter of a bag of Ghiradelli chocolate chips, and was sitting on a bench on the climbing structure, eating fistfuls.

Not that I blame Edie for leaving this kid alone.  Just from the looks of him, I know he's the kind of guy I'd want in my corner, too.
